OBS Mission Report 3/4/25

Olive Branch Strategic supporting IDF Units near the Syrian border

If you have been following us either on social media or through other channels over the last 6 to 8 months you will undoubtedly know that the operational tempo of our organization has increased rapidly. We are not only excited about the expansion of our mission and all of what God is doing through this ministry, but we are equally grateful for all our supporters who have made it possible by meeting every prayer need and financial hurdle along the way. And although there is a vast array of challenges when organizing missionary support overseas amid conflict, the Lord has given us immense favor.

Over the course of the last 12 months OBS has deployed on 32 separate missions, over 3 continents, including two states: Tennessee and North Carolina in response to Hurricane Helene. OBS volunteers have traveled over 40k miles in support of several mission sets, all of which have impacted thousands. OBS has distributed over $25,000 in medical aid, 150+ hours of training in a conflict zone, as well as provided Christ centered spiritual support along the way.

OBS has deployed to Israel 3 times in the past year the most recent being last month, when we took our largest contingent of volunteers (6) to the Holy Land in support of Christian organizations on the ground. This team had a versatile mission set to include a 2-day tactical medical course for our partners over at Bridges for Peace. Multiple 1-day Active Killer Response Courses for CMJ-Israel, as well as a follow-up security assessment and active killer course for the Anglican International School of Jerusalem. OBS also had the opportunity to expand our footprint in Israel by meeting Israel’s National Special Rescue Unit. This was a unique opportunity to get a look into Israel’s emergency contingencies as well as transfer search and rescue knowledge.

Although the cease-fire and hostage negotiations have been mildly successful, tensions in Israel continue to run at an all-time high as active engagements between Hamas in the south and Hezbollah in the north are a regular occurrence. The fall of Assad in Syria has also complicated Israeli security efforts as they have been forced to flex to the Syrian border to impede any ISIS threat. OBS had the distinct privilege over the course of our last deployment to support IDF Units near the Syrian border as they protected vulnerable villages there. These soldiers where grateful for our assistance, and we were honored to pray for them and with them in Jesus’ name!

As we look to 2025, it is apparent that the Lord is continuing to open doors. We are tentatively scheduled to return to Israel in the late summer to support some new partners there as well as to continue to work alongside our current ones. OBS is also looking to expand our domestic presence with future training on the horizon. A special thanks to Scott Morgan at CMJ-Israel, Peter Fast and Daniel Kirchhevel at Bridges for Peace, as well as Chen, our IDF liaison. As always, none of this would be possible without the support and prayers of our partners here. A special thanks again to our friends at Launchpoint Church and Madison Creek Baptist Church. Thank you all for believing in this mission, as well as our shared passion for proclaiming Christ. Your obedience to the Lord is vital to the continued success of this ministry. As always - make our mission your mission.

Sincerely,

Corey Mullins
