OBS Mission Report 2/1/26

Updated: Feb 6

Well, as we step into 2026, we wanted to pause and take a moment to give glory to God for all that He has accomplished through this ministry this past year. As you know from our last mission update, 2025 began with a third deployment to Israel, which prompted a return deployment in August.

However, before we started planning for a 4th deployment to support our ministry partners in the Middle East, the OBS Team transitioned to disaster relief here stateside, where we responded to the devastating tornadoes that struck in London and Somerset, Kentucky in late May. Thanks to our partners at Launch Point Church, Madison Creek Baptist Church, and our individual supporters, OBS was able to deliver several thousand dollars' worth of food, equipment, and supplies to the London Kentucky Community Center, where those assets were then distributed to those in need.

Upon our return, the OBS Team was contacted by Crossway Church near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, which, for the first time in our organization’s history, wanted to leverage our ministry’s expertise in active shooter response. So, within a few weeks, the OBS Team developed a 2-day church safety team course that provided 16 hours of training in the following:

  • Points of domination CQB, 2-4 man entries to include duties & responsibilities, intersections & navigating danger areas, low-light considerations, principles of fighting within interior environments, mission set principles to include: HR & direct action, marksmanship, target discrimination, training methodology, and mindset.

In the end, we were able to certify six of Crossway’s church safety team members in their own facility, who are now building a culture of excellence within their unit.

By mid-July, we were beginning workups for a 4th deployment to Israel when several communities in Texas were hit with some of the most devastating floods in U.S. history. And so, in response, OBS partnered with Kerrville Bible Church, a community of believers at the epicenter of the Texas floods, and donated $2,500 in support of their mission to bring hope and resources to a devastated community.

By August, in response to the overwhelming success of our first interaction with the IDF back in January, as well as a request from a new ministry partner, OBS returned to Israel with a 4-man team. This time, to directly support several IDF quick reaction forces along the Lebanon and Syrian border. These teams are vital in the protection of isolated Israeli villages that are under the constant threat of terrorist attack. Our training dramatically increased this unit’s readiness, as these teams are often neglected when it comes to training, equipment, and resources. This engagement was highlighted during an end-of-training meal where we had the distinct privilege to pray with these brave men in Jesus’ name.

Finally, our latest deployment to Israel also marked our first engagement with the Arab Christian Community. Due to the sensitive nature of their work, we will leave their ministry anonymous at this time, but we were grateful to offer their team a 2-day medical course where they were given life-saving medical training and equipment.

In total, over the course of last year, OBS volunteers have traveled over 30,000 miles by both air and land…

  • Conducted 16 different missions…

  • Spearheaded 82+ hours of training…65 of which in a conflict zone…

  • Over $8000 dollars in medical equipment, food, and supplies were distributed…

And the love of Christ was shared every step along the way…

As we step into 2026, we are excited about what God has in store for this ministry, and we hope that you are too. There are several potential overseas missions that we are exploring, so be praying for favor and wisdom in those decisions. We are also looking to establish ourselves as the preeminent active shooter training option for churches and Christian ministries here in the United States. Pray that the Lord would open doors as we look to expand this part of our ministry.

OBS would like to thank all of those who attended our year-end fundraising event at the Asurion Building in Downtown Nashville. It was once again a successful night of sharing our mission and dreams for the future. Your faithful giving continues to meet the need year-after-year.

OBS would also like to take this opportunity to thank all our sponsors who came onboard this past month to sponsor us for the Chili Bowl Nationals in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This was a huge week of exposure for our partners and us, so thank you for making it a reality. We are already looking forward to next year!

As always, none of this would be possible without your prayers. Thank you for believing in our mission, as well as our shared passion for proclaiming Christ. A special thanks again to our church partners, Launchpoint Church and Madison Creek Baptist Church, as well as ALL our financial partners and donors. Your obedience to the Lord is vital to the continued success of this ministry. As always - make our mission your mission.

Sincerely,

Corey Mullins
